Things to consider:

There are a lot of things to consider when choosing the right grass for your lawn. Some things that you absolutely must think about include:

The type of soil you have:

Some types of grass will be better suited to different types of soils than others. The best thing that you can do is bring a soil sample into one of our experts and let them advise you on the right type of grass. Some grasses are more suited to drier, sandier soils, while others prefer wetter clay or peat soils.

How much water you have:

If you are on rain water or have severe water restrictions, then you would be stupid to plant a lawn which needs a lot of water to look good. Instead, you would choose something which is pretty drought resistant, and which can survive without regular watering.

The climate where you live:

This is pretty self explanatory, but you need to make sure that you choose a variety of grass which will grow well in your climate. Don’t choose a variety which will be killed by frost if you are susceptible to frosts. In the same way, don’t choose a cold-weather species if you live in the tropics.

Get the perfect grass:

Again, the easiest way to choose the right variety of lawn for your needs is to speak to a turf expert. Try and speak in person to a local expert, and give them as much information about your location and soil type as you possible can. If you are able to do this, you should find yourself with a near perfect new lawn before you know it. Good luck!
